What would Jesus do?

Is, according to new research at least, the same as asking ‘what would I do?’

“Intuiting God’s beliefs on important issues may not produce an independent guide, but may instead serve as an echo chamber to validate and justify one’s own beliefs.

It is an intuitive conclusion to reach when you think about it and, philosophically, nothing new, but it is interesting to see a scientific study on the phenomenon.

This is most perplexing. I can’t see any cows. There shouldn’t be any cows nearby.

I get frightened

when I get a group email invite to a party, and the invitation explicitly mentions that children are welcome.

It’s not like any of my friends even have children, but the idea that they themselves are friends with people that do have children scares me.

Here’s hoping they were teenage mothers who made bad decisions instead of people my age who decided to give up on life.

Monday, monday

intimationsofimmortality:

is, by far and away, the most boring day of the week for me.

Workplaces suck friends up and turn them into zombies again, after tricking them into thinking they were free for a time. They overcome this disability quickly, but never on a Monday as it takes time for their bodies to fight against the unnatural state that is the five day working week.

Join me, fellow idlers and holidayers of the world, join me in breaking the spell of the presbyterian work ethic. Together we can fight… and go to the beach… and buy ice cream… on a Monday.

I’m havin’ a nap on the couch.

Way to stick it to the man.

Losers.
